Annual Contract Value (ACV) Calculator — Normalize and Audit SaaS Subscription Revenue
Calculate Annual Contract Value from deal size and term length, and compare multiple deal structures side by side with per-seat and monthly normalized revenue.
How to Use Annual Contract Value (ACV) Calculator — Normalize and Audit SaaS Subscription Revenue
How to Use the ACV Calculator
Step 1: Enter Deal Details
For each deal, enter:
- Deal Name — a label to identify the deal (e.g. customer name)
- Total Contract Value (TCV) — the full value of the contract across its entire term
- Term (months) — the length of the contract in months
- Seats (optional) — number of seats/licenses, to calculate per-seat annual pricing
Step 2: Add Multiple Deals to Compare
Click Add Deal to enter additional deals. This is useful for comparing how term length, discounting, or deal size affects the normalized annual value across different customers or deal structures.
Step 3: Read the Results
- ACV (Annual Contract Value) — the contract value normalized to a 12-month period: TCV × (12 / term months)
- Monthly Value — TCV divided by term months
- Per Seat / yr — ACV divided by seat count, when seats are provided
Step 4: Compare Deals
The deal comparison chart and table show ACV, TCV, term, monthly value, and per-seat pricing side by side, with the largest deal by ACV flagged, so you can spot which deal structures generate the most normalized annual revenue.
