How to Use the Open Graph Preview Tester
Step 1: Paste Your Meta Tags
Copy the meta tags from your page source and paste them into the input area. You can paste just the OG and Twitter meta tags, or the entire contents of your HTML head section — the tool extracts only what it needs.
To get your page source: right-click any page in your browser → View Page Source → copy the section between the opening and closing head tags.
Step 2: Check Tag Status
The Tag Status table shows which OG and Twitter meta tags are present, their current values, and whether each tag is present or missing. Tags marked with an asterisk (*) are required for link previews to work on all platforms.
Step 3: Review Recommendations
The Recommendations panel lists errors (missing required tags), warnings (values that may cause truncation or display issues), and informational notes (optional tags that fall back to OG equivalents).
Step 4: Preview on Each Platform
Switch between the X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook tabs to see an approximate rendering of how your page will appear when shared. Card dimensions, text truncation, and layout match each platform's current design.
