Search not finding a tool?

Try a shorter keyword or the tool category name. The search matches both titles and categories.

How to add a favorite

Click the star icon on any tool card in the new tab. Favorited tools appear at the top for quick access.

Sync not working?

Make sure you are signed in with the same account on both devices. Try signing out and back in to force a sync.

How to open settings

Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the new tab page to adjust layout, theme, and sync preferences.

Sync across devices

Create a free account and sign in on each device. Your favorites and settings will sync automatically.

How do I access DevTab after installing?

Just open a new tab in Chrome. DevTab automatically replaces the default new tab page after installation. No additional setup required.

How does the search work?

The search bar on the new tab page matches tool names and categories in real time. Start typing any keyword — for example "json", "color", or "regex" — and matching tools appear instantly.

What are Favorites?

You can pin any tool by clicking the star icon on its card. Pinned tools appear in a dedicated Favorites section at the top of the new tab, so the tools you use most are always one click away.

What are Recents?

DevTab automatically tracks the last tools you opened and shows them in a Recents section. This lets you quickly return to tools you were just using without searching again.

What does signing in give me?

A free account enables cross-device sync — your favorites and settings are saved to the cloud and restored on any device where you are signed in with the same account. DevTab is fully functional without an account; sync is the only account-gated feature.

Is my browsing data sent to your servers?

No. Your browsing history, the tools you search for, and any input you enter inside tools never leave your device. Only your email address (when you create an account) and your synced favorites/settings are stored — see our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does DevTab work offline?

The new tab launcher itself loads instantly from the extension and works offline. Individual tools are web pages hosted on 100plus.tools and require an internet connection to open.

How do I clear my favorites or recents?

Open the settings panel (gear icon in the top-right corner of the new tab) and use the Clear Recents or Manage Favorites options. If you have an account, changes sync across devices automatically.

Is DevTab free?

Yes, DevTab is completely free. There is no paid tier or Pro upgrade for the extension. A free account is optional and only needed for cross-device sync.

How do I uninstall the extension?

Go to chrome://extensions in your browser, find DevTab, and click "Remove". Your new tab page will return to Chrome's default. Any locally stored favorites and recents will be cleared.
