Terms of Use — API Detective Chrome Extension

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the API Detective Chrome extension (“the Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 100Plus Tools (“we”, “our”, or “us”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. What the Extension Does

API Detective is a developer tool that uses Chrome's DevTools Protocol to capture and display network requests made within your browser. All capture and processing happens locally on your device — no request data is transmitted to our servers.

The Extension is intended for lawful purposes, including but not limited to:

→Debugging and testing your own applications and APIs
→API integration and development work
→Reverse engineering or inspecting websites and services that you own or have explicit authorization to inspect
→Security research conducted within the scope of an authorized engagement

3. Prohibited Use

You must not use the Extension to:

✗Intercept, capture, or inspect API calls on systems, services, or websites that you do not own or do not have explicit written authorization to test
✗Circumvent security controls, access controls, or rate limits of third-party services without authorization
✗Violate any applicable law, regulation, or the terms of service of any third-party platform
✗Collect, harvest, or exfiltrate data from third-party services in an unauthorized manner

Any unauthorized access to third-party systems using the Extension is solely your responsibility. We expressly disclaim all liability for any illegal or unauthorized use of the Extension.

4. Pro License

The Pro license is a one-time purchase per user account. By purchasing Pro, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the Pro features of the Extension for as long as the product is maintained.

Non-transferable: Your Pro license is tied to your account and may not be transferred, resold, or shared with other users.
Non-refundable: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
Lifetime access: The license grants access to all current Pro features and future Pro updates for the lifetime of the product. We reserve the right to discontinue the product with reasonable notice.

5. No Warranty

The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

–Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
–Uninterrupted or error-free operation
–Accuracy or completeness of captured data
–Compatibility with any specific website, API, or Chrome version

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 100Plus Tools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the Extension, including but not limited to:

–Loss of data or profits
–Business interruption
–Damages resulting from unauthorized use of the Extension
–Reliance on information captured by the Extension

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro license, or $19 USD, whichever is less.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued installation or use of the Extension after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should uninstall the Extension.
