API Detective Chrome Extension
Privacy Policy
We built API Detective to run entirely in your browser. This policy explains exactly what data we collect and what we never touch.
Effective Date: April 4, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how 100Plus Tools (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information in connection with the API Detective Chrome browser extension (“the Extension”).
By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
What We Do NOT Collect
The core functionality of API Detective — capturing and inspecting API calls — operates entirely within your local browser using Chrome's DevTools Protocol. None of the following data ever leaves your device or is sent to our servers:
- ✓The content of any API requests or responses you capture
- ✓Request headers, request bodies, or response payloads
- ✓URLs of websites you visit or inspect
- ✓Browsing history or navigation data
- ✓Any network traffic intercepted by the extension
We also do not use analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or any third-party tracking technology within the Extension itself.
What We Do Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the Pro features of the Extension.
Email Address
When you sign up or sign in to unlock Pro features, we collect your email address. This is stored securely in Supabase, a third-party authentication and database provider. Your email is used solely for account identification, authentication, and support communication.
Payment Information
Payments for the Pro license are processed entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We never see, receive, or store your card number, CVV, or any other payment credentials. Stripe provides us only with a transaction confirmation and a customer identifier.
Third-Party Services
The Extension and its associated backend use the following third-party services:
Stores your email address and account status. See Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
Handles all payment transactions for the Pro license. We do not store payment card details. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Hosts the API endpoints used for account verification and license validation. See Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Data Retention
- Account data (email address, license status) is retained for as long as you have an account. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
- Payment records are retained by Stripe in accordance with their own data retention policy and applicable financial regulations.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- →Access the personal data we hold about you
- →Request correction of any inaccurate information
- →Request deletion of your account and associated data
- →Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Extension and requesting account deletion
Children's Privacy
The Extension is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
